Research Interests
Understanding and control of molecular transport on the nanometer length scale; molecular basis of electrokinetic phenomena; molecular assemblies in active chemical separations.
Spatially anisotropic surfaces and control of motion of molecular and supermolecular objects.
Development of new optical spectroscopic measurement strategies for surface and interfacial structure-function studies especially directed toward understanding of the solid-solid and solid-liquid interfaces.
Optoelectronic materials and devices; surface modification of electronic properties; inelastic light scattering for characterization of complex heterostructures; semiconductor interfaces.
Molecular nanoelectronics; nanoscale analogs of macroscopic electronic and photonic devices.
